Our Mission, Vision & Values
Our Mission Statement is to assist individuals with disabilities or economic disadvantages in choosing, acquiring, using, and maintaining the skills and supports necessary to achieve success and satisfaction in their lives. We accomplish this through Vocational, Therapeutic, Residential, and Business Services.

employee development and growthThe Rehabilitation Services department is made up of many different divisions including the Vocational Transition Center, the School To Work Program, Vocational Work Center Program, Continuing Day Treatment Program, and the Day Habilitation Program.
The Residential Program provides assistance in procuring independent living and offers several supervised community residences in Ulster and Dutchess County.
The Business Services division includes many departments that work together to create jobs for the consumers in the Vocational Work Centers located in both Kingston and New Paltz, NY. These departments include Contract Packaging and Office Products. Three additional departments that provide hands-on training opportunities to consumers are the Custom Cleaning Division, the Food Service Management Division, and the Buildings and Grounds Division.
Gateway employs approximately 200 staff personnel and 300 consumers at the Kingston and New Paltz locations. Gateway Community Industries, Inc. is a member of many organizations such as: United Way of Ulster County, Ulster County Chamber, Rhinebeck Chamber, Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber, Poughkeepsie Chamber and New Paltz Chamber of Commerce, Mental Health Association of Ulster and Dutchess County, NYS Industries for the Disabled, National Association of the Dually Diagnosed, National Rehabilitation Association, and the Association for Community Living.
