Vocational Transition Center

What is the Vocational Transition Center?

The Vocational Transition Center is a rehabilitation program designed to assist individuals in choosing, obtaining, and maintaining employment.

The Vocational Transition Center provides a two day objective assessment program for eligible individuals under the Job Training Partnership Act. The goal of this program is to assess each participant's vocational aptitudes, skills, general educational development levels and occupational interests. Each assessment results in recommendations for short and long term vocational goals including necessary services, supports, and appropriate job titles.

The Vocational Transition Center also provides a one day academic testing program for public assistance recipients designed to assess their levels of cognitive functioning, academic achievement, and areas of occupational interest.
