Gateway Day Habilitation is a very new concept in day programs for people with developmental disabilities.
Day Habilitation focuses on enabling individuals to attain as much
- INDEPENDENCE
- INTEGRATION
- INDIVIDUALIZATION
- PRODUCTIVITY
Day Habilitation is a new concept in day programming for people with developmental disabilities. It allows individuals the opportunity to integrate into the community and try activities which would otherwise be out of their reach.
Day Habilitation participants are able to choose to participate in many community activities such as ceramics class, visits to the library, bowling, apple picking, trips to museums, historical sites, and area malls.
We teach skills in a FUN way!
Eligibility Requirements:
- Diagnosis of Mental Retardation and/or Developmental Disability
- Self toileting
- Self ambulating with ability to access program van
- Medicaid Waiver Enrolled
- Consumer has chosen to participate
